Day Two : March 12th, 2017

We met in our hotel lobby at 09:30 hours bundled up and eager to start our day. First on our agenda today, was a classroom presentation taught by the Harbor Patrol Unit of the Metropolitan DC Police Department!

We the students split up into four police boats. Although it was extremely cold, we all thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.  Everyone was outfitted with life preservers for safety!  It was great way to see the Washington Monument, the Pentagon, Jefferson Memorial, Watergate and the blooming cherry blossom trees. After a cold morning, we paid our respects to the fallen officers at the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial followed by a quick walk to the gift shop for the memorial (with a pit stop to Starbucks in-between).

Our day ended with dropping the first four students off at district seven for their ride along. Be safe Clifton, Devon, Brandon, and Ty while the rest met up with Molly Wilcox, NEC 2014 alum for dinner at a Chinese buffet. Molly stopped by to visit following her mock trial competition!
